It is recommended to not exceed a coil surface temperature of 1400°C for longest life

    *Free radiating power is dissipated by the coil when there is no surrounding refractory. The use of a refractory sleeve of appropriate thickness is recommended if the objective is a temperature inside the enclosure.
    * *When using with a refractory sleeve, the current required will be lower, when compared with the open coil configuration, once steady state conditions have been reached.
