Airtorch™ Frequently Asked Questions
The Airtorch™ is a powerful tool that utilizes clean and
safer electric energy, with our patented technology to quickly
create convective hot air or inert gas to 1000°C and plasma
up to 1300°C.

There
are advantages to using the Airtorch™:
- More
efficient heat transfer by forced hot air/gas
convection: An electrically heated mini-chamber
purges heated air/gas, minimizing heat loss. Heated air
exits the chamber without any metal contact. Therefore,
the outside of the chamber remains cool while the outlet
air is extremely hot.
- Pollution
free: No harmful, pungent, or contaminant gas to
harm the user or part being heated. Using the Airtorch™
is a virtually silent operation.
- Ability
to reduce oxidation with the use of inert gas and high temperatures:
Gases can be selected for the outlet: air, nitrogen,
or an inert gas. By selecting the appropriate gas, oxidation
of materials may be reduced. This has a great advantage
over conventional flame torches.
- Process
Control: Ability to control
temperature and repeat performance, unlike the conventional
flame.
- Low
equipment cost: Advantage: one unit can be used
for a variety of applications. Offering great value for
heat-treating and maintenance.
Airtorch™ can be used for several applications:

packaging containers and/or pallets and tamper proof bands
and/or bags.

conveyor ovens or heat tunnels.

- Laminating

tamper proof bags.
- Shrinking
PE shrink sleeves on bottles.
- Last
but not least, our Plasma Airtorch™, can be used for disinfecting,
removing plastic mould flash and sterilizing packaging materials
and surfaces.
