Description
Nano-graphite and Nano-copper particle mixture i.e. surface protrusions (particles) on stainless steel or copper coupon. Patented Process. Please contact MHI is a different mix or different elements are required.
Product for Sale: Test coupon 1cm x 1cm 304 stainless or Copper coupon with nanometer deposits of nano-graphite and nano-copper. The nano-graphite is a mixture of double walled, single walled and amorphous carbon. Nano copper is copper nanoparticles. Average size of nano copper is about 50-100 nm. Graphite tube and and amorphous graphite content is about 20-100 nm.
Copper is pure 99.99% copper.
Use of Product: Sample to test catalyst efficacy for alcohol conversion – with support substrate of stainles steel or copper. Substrate coupon is about 1″ x 1″ and about 1 mm thick. Coating thickness is ~500nm nominal with range discussed above.
The particles are attached but may also wipe under abrasion. Total coverage of porous particles is about 300nm-900 nm thick coating on the substrate. High porosity. Picture shows approximate coverage of copper/CuO/Carbon and TEM of peeled off carbon nano tube surface. Composition of the coating/substrate is mostly C/Cu and substrate material. Nitrogen and Oxygen will also be present. Hot nitrogen atmosphere particulate deposited on surface. Nitrogen content in solids about ~1 wt% nominal.
Picture shows approximate coverage and TEM of a peeled off graphite/carbon nano-tube type. Variations are possible from coupon to coupon.
The product (nano coating) is expected to contain approximately 50% by volume of copper and carbon phases on the surface with porosity and other elements like nitrogen and oxygen. Not all phases have been identified.
Please indicate whether a Copper substrate or a 304 or 316 Stainless Steel substrate is desired if offered. Please add this information to the remarks during check out.
