Hearth Plates are unique lightweight non-fiber high temperature insulating boards and other shapes which display low density and high strength. The board has excellent low thermal conductivity, high thermal shock resistance heat, and chemical and mechanical stability. Hearth Plates are made from the HMG1 material are available in various sizes and shapes for a variety of applications. Typical applications are furnace linings, hot plate, filters, and kiln furniture.

TYPICAL USAGE of Hearth Plates:
Hearth Plates are an excellent material to use as insulation boards in furnace lining and kiln furniture. It has a higher service life compared to any fiber insulating board, due to its mechanical, and chemical stability at high temperatures. Other applications include hot plates, gas combustion burners, fire protection and stops. Due to its high porosity, high strength, and high melting point Hearth Plates may find other uses. Typical applications are molten metal filtration, oil trapping and recovery, grease filters, hot-gas and steam cleaning filters, chemical and water purification processes. They can also be used as substrate support for membrane reactors.
