Description
MHI MRCL-GA1125-6- Microtube (Unit includes all controls and power transformers – depending on the use options may have to be selected). This unit is used to heat combustible gases like methane or hydrogen. The tube has a correct high residence time feature.
- Robust Radiator type Microtube is enclosed in a FiberFree ceramic refractory, which can withstand a temperature of 1850°C.
- Total power ~800W.
- Several options are offered for the tube materials: A Quartz Tube or Inconel Tube with End Caps (sealed) and 1/4″ NPT inlet and Outlet are available. A high residence time internal structure is provided for hydrogen or similar gases.
- Maximum element temperature is 1400°C (1400°C continuous use).
- The typical temperature for a part in the tube or a temperature of ~1 SCFM flowing gas can reach 1000C to 1100C, depending on the gas flow rate and gas composition.
- Part temperature varies with the insulation of the projected tube.
- T/C provided.
- This Microtube™ Heater – Part # MRCL-GA1125-6- Microtube can be used with a 25 mm OD quartz tube or alloy stainless steel tube (please select from options).
- End caps are available (one set is optional).
- The picture is with the MHI calibration thermocouple* and the optional stand.

- Modern BPAN-O-PLUS power controls.
- An optional stand is available for the RR heater unit. The electrical panel of the UL or cUL-rated panel (see add-on option) comes with a panel stand, but the non-UL control electronics do not.
- BPAN-O-PLUS may be used with 208/220/230/240 50/60Hz Volts – the correct power transformer is included.

- The UL electric panel has a NEMA 4 enclosure. It must always be placed in a non-hazardous area.
- For hazardous gas use, the ATEX feedthrough, ATEX thermocouples, and the Class 1 Div 2 connector option must be purchased. An ATEX option package can be chosen in the options (pull-down) menu. Cables (to connect RR devices and electrical panels) are not provided for ATEX units, as these could have local electrical codes.
